Model United Nations (MUN) is one of the prestigious events among the world’s young people to study diplomacy. MUN is a simulation of the United Nations (UN) assembly which applies the same rules and procedures as the UN assembly. AYIMUN (Asia Youth International Model United Nations) is the right place for youth to learn from various perspectives with delegates from various countries. This time, AYIMUN carries the theme “Be A Part of Global Peace and Prosperity”. To be selected for this event, you have to go through several selections, namely administration, motivation letters, and papers.

The second day is the main event of AYIMUN. In this session, the delegation was divided into two councils. Delegates are required to participate in core activities in accordance with the division of each council. In this session, the delegates submit motions which will then be responded to with speeches by other delegates. In the next session, the delegates debated in moderated and unmoderated caucus sessions on a predetermined issue. The discussion then continued with the preparation of a draft of the resolution (DR). DR contains problem-solving and policies taken by an alliance of several countries. There are 3 DR generated. After going through the session it was decided that DR 1.1 would be made a policy by UNESCO.

Ratu Balgis said that participating in AYIMUN 2022 was very beneficial for her because she had a lot of new experiences with diplomacy between countries. In addition, she is also very happy because she can have many new friends from various countries in the world.
