Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris – The Khairun University (Unkhair) Inbound Independent Student Exchange Program (PMM) is packaged in the Nusantara (MN) Module provides an opportunity for students to know the history and tolerance of religious communities in Ternate City. The Nusantara module is one of a series of activities in the MBKM program that instills a comprehensive understanding of diversity.
The Nusantara (MN) module was held on the third Sunday of September 2022 at the 2nd Independent Student Exchange Program (PMM) at Khairun University (Unkhair) and visited several religious, historic, and tourist places in Ternate City.
Ety Duwila, one of the Nusantara Module Lecturers invites PMM students to visit historical places in Ternate City. This is so that PMM students can observe firsthand the historical relics in the city of Ternate. One of the historical sights visited is the Tolukko Fort which was built in 1540 by Francisco Serrao, a Portuguese commander.
“Because I also really like history, so what I feel is that I am very impressed. Moreover, at one time my group discussed with a history lecturer, and I thought it was very interesting. Because of that, I became even more interested in Indonesian history.” Said Vita Jasmine Beavisa, one of the PMM 2 English Studies Program from Ibn Khaldun University Bogor. The Nusantara Module activity is planned to end in December 2022 with a final social contribution activity.
