Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris – The dozens of students from several universities took part in the annual event organized by the English Student Association (ESA), namely Pekan Literasi dan Talenta or PELITA, yesterday at Khairun University (17/11). This activity has centered on the 2nd day which started on November 16, 2022. In this activity, dozens of students seemed very enthusiastic about participating in the Unkhair Idol and Spelling Bee competitions.
The PELITA 2022 activity this time carries the theme “Expression of Talent to Become an Inspirational, Characterful, and Millennial Generation” by bringing a casual style to the day of implementation.
The activities held on the 2nd day of PELITA activities were Unkhair Idol and Spelling Bee. “There were approximately 20 participants in the Unkhair Idol and 38 participants of the Spelling Bee competition,” said Suci the Secretary of the Pelita Committee.
“This Activity was held right at 09.00 a.m., where the previous committee came first at around 7 o’clock to wait for the participants and welcome them” said Wija, one of the PELITA committee. When the activity starts, the participants are divided into two parts according to the type of competition. The Unkhair Idol participants are placed in Banau Hall and Spelling Bee participants are placed in Theater Lab. with the help of directions from the committee.

The event lasted for 7 hours, and the activity finished promptly at 4 p.m. But in between, the participants of the competition were also given a box of rice and water as lunch together at Banau Hall.
